...An Experience You Must Not Miss.

The 1504 Club has been for me a place of safe haven, service, Soul-searching and Serenity. It's where God sent me to receive my training in "life on life's terms", and it's where I learned how to play dominoes with the best trash talkin' trudgers of the road of happy destiny!

I have met my BEST friends here and also some of the most trying people I have ever met in my LIFE!! It has also been the place where I learned how to grow up, grow a "thick skin", and learned to share my REAL… Continue

Papa Joe Tells Us All The Time...

Hi, Family:

As I was sitting here at my computer working on a few things (likeseeing what interesting new stuff I could find on YouTube *LOL*), I came across a couple of videos that made me think of "Papa" Joe. As you know, he's what I like to call the "Walking Big Book" of the 1504 club; and even though people may wriggle in their seats when he gets ready to share--because they know he's gonna talk for a good little bit--I TREASURE our Elders, and I love to hear him… Continue

Wanna Hear Bill W. Speaking? - Then Check This Out!

Hi, Family:

While online looking for some resources for another of my recovery friends, I came across a website that has several (approx 54) clips of Bill W. telling his story while he was still alive.

You can download each clip to your own computer and keep them forever! What I did was download them all, and then transferred them to CD so that I could listen to them one right after the other without having to…

Just Feelin' Human...

What's Up, Family?

I was just looking around my apartment at all the stuff I need to do because I've been putting it off for a while now...housecleaning, laundry, etc...stuff like that, ya know?

I've been noticing that I've been kind of restless lately, too. I don't really know why....oh wait...that's not true...I know EXACTLY why! I have to grow up and realize that the things I want in life aren't just gonna come to me...I really DO have to work for them!! My lying around… Continue

God Is Good All The Time!

I love the 1504 Club and the people who make the club possible. It was there that my journey began I know that God has and continues to do for me what I could not do for myself. I enjoy this spiritual journey that I am on and the spiritual lessons that come with the journey. Every experiance is an opportunity for an abundance of growth and faith.

When I step out on faith God makes the impossible possible, I know that He is real because He is so real in my life and in the lives of my… Continue

HISTORY OF THE 1504 CLUB:

The 1504 Club Originated from The Big Hall on 11th and Union (close to iHop), then we went to 14th and Madison, then to 12th and Yesler, then to 22nd and Jacskon. On May 31st,2009, the 1504 moved to a new location at 2112 S Holgate St. in Seattle where there was a fantastic Grand Opening Celebration and Dance. It was phenomenal!

A few of the founders were Pete (he wrote the bi-laws) , Herb, Tia N., and Duwell.

The 1504 Club is the non-profit organization that acts as an umbrella that encourages sobriety in our community and the other part of the umbrella is the 14th & Pike Group; in which various meetings are held (i.e. AA, NA, CA, etc.).

History by David D. and Larry L. and Billy R. on 3/21/09

Note: The above mentioned is only a brief history. The Bi-Laws of 1504 Club and 14th & Pike Group can explain in further detail the history and structure of these groups.
